Plumber

Position Summary: – A plumber installs, maintains and repairs water, drainage, sewage & gas systems in residential & commercial buildings 

Communication skills are equally as important for a Plumber. Plumbers often interact directly with clients, explaining issues, providing maintenance tips, and discussing potential upgrades. Building trust and rapport with customers is essential, as it ensures a positive experience for the customer

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of the fundamentals of how water, drainage & sewage systems work
• Solid communication and excellent customer service skills
• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
• Proficient in reading schematics, blueprints, and work plans
• Creative thinking & problem solving skills are helpful
• Basic mathematics and measurement conversion knowledge
• Due to common working conditions, candidates must be able to function in extreme temperatures, and have the ability to lift heavy equipment, work in confined spaces, and climb ladders. Work will involve pushing/pulling, bending, turning and kneeling.
• Must be willing to help with other services if needed

Primary Responsibilities:

• Installation of fixtures and appliances like toilets and water heaters.
• Diagnosing and fixing leaks or clogs.
•  
• Interpreting blueprints, and ensuring all work complies with local building codes.
• Perform routine maintenance and respond to emergency calls for issues like broken pipes or blocked drains.
• Troubleshoot, adapt, and resolve all issues to insure proper functioning of water supply, drainage, sewage & gas lines.
• Test each system to insure it is functioning properly & safely.
• Work together with other contractors, electricians & other professionals during construction
• May involve light construction, carpentry & electrical work as required
• Educate customers on how to properly use their new equipment.
• Wear floor savers while working in client homes.
• Inspect area for cleanliness after job completion.
• Maintain company vehicle, ensuring cleanliness and organization, both inside and out.
